Haridimos Hatzidakis was a visionary wine maker. For two decades, he explored Assyrtiko, the super star of Greek wine varieties, more than anyone else. At the same time, he helped establish other, less noticed, local varieties from Santorini, such as the Aidani. His achievements drew the attention of well known wine critics like Robinson MW and Tim Atkins MW. No wonder he has been called “Wizzard of Wine”!
Two years after his untimely death, Hatzidakis Winery has passed to the hands of his family. His daughter, Stella Hatzidaki, together with her mother Konstantina Xryssou and their young and lively team have taken the relay and honour Haridimos’ legacy by producing memorable wines.
It is our great pleasure and honour to receive the Hatzidakis family/winery on Thursday March 21, with a 5-dish wine-paired menu especially designed for this occasion. With Konstantinos Lazarakis MW as our guide and narrator, we will take a trip to the history of this great winery and taste the most recent wines produced by the new generation.
